The primary responsibility of this position is to attract new mortgage loans and search for small business opportunities through COI's. This will be accomplished by receiving applications from low to moderate income areas in surrounding communities.

Participate in key community activities, such as local chambers of commerce, community-focused organizations, and service clubs in specific targeted markets.

Meet with appropriate COI's including Pastors, Accountants, Attorneys and leading educational programs, as necessary.

Work closely with the CRA Officer to establish contacts within the specific market area.

Enable Horizon Bank to better respond to the credit needs in our under-served communities in Lake County.

Increase primary mortgages by meeting with realtors, develop working relationship with first time home buyers groups, and complete presentations to targeted groups regarding home financing and government support and existing builders and developers.

Look for small business opportunities to refer to the Commercial Loan department.

At least one year of experience in 1st mortgage origination required with a familiarity in small business lending preferred.

Experience with the mortgage loan process, financial statements, tax returns and other financial reports as well as experience working with regulatory compliance and governmental programs required.

High School diploma or equivalent required.
