Provide a full range of personalized banking services to retail customers focused on a broad and ongoing relationship including financial counseling, lending and other financial needs. Use sales experience and product knowledge along with a willingness to identify the financial needs to help customers meet those current and future needs by providing exceptional service and sound financial advice.

Develop new business and maintain present customers by extending high quality and efficient customer service. Duties will include interpreting needs (and potential needs) of customers in opening new checking, savings, certificate of deposit & IRA accounts, consumer lending products, and by providing customers with proficient and accurate transaction processing.



Maintain strong knowledge of our products and services.  Product knowledge must be at a level that the Advisor can sell any service offered by the bank and support bank deposit, lending and trust business through referrals to appropriate departments.

Responsible for selling a full range of banking products and services to existing and prospective customers while providing specialized customer care.

Partner with Loan Officers, Business Bankers, Treasury Management and Trust Professionals to ensure customers have access to staff that can help with specialized concerns. Address customer challenges with professionalism, answering customer questions and investigating & correcting errors.

Receive checks and cash for deposit to savings and checking accounts, verify deposit amounts, examine checks for endorsement and negotiability, and enter transactions into Bank records. Receive payments for loans, ensuring that payments equal the amount due and that all charges, if applicable are collected. Responsible for balancing the day's transactions according to standard procedures.

Continuously increase knowledge and skills through education, seminars and internal training and maintain compliance with all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions. Advisor must take responsibility of keeping knowledge up to date and request assistance to further develop his/her skills.

This position requires S.A.F.E. Act registration upon hire through Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS).

Maintain a position of trust and responsibility by keeping all customer business confidential.

Promote good customer relations by consistently providing exceptional customer service.

Participate in all office marketing and sales projects, which include personal contacts, telephone sales, direct mail and promotions.



College degree in Business, Finance or Marketing preferred. High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of two years teller and/or bank customer service experience required.  Two years of retail sales experience can be accepted in lieu of banking experience.

Ability to present a professional image and communicate with public, co-workers, management, customers and others in a courteous, positive and professional manner.

Must possess enthusiasm towards referrals & sales and show strength in understanding the needs of the customer and be able to solve complex problems.

Display ability to establish credibility with customers by displaying friendly and personable behaviors while looking for ways to benefit customer.

Excellent listening skills along with a comfort asking customers questions about their financial needs.

Ability to follow detailed instructions and a wide range of procedures along with the ability to take initiative and utilize sound judgment in decision making.

Work in a team environment and interact in a positive manner with co-workers and management.

Work involves ability to perform advanced math functions with capability to analyze credit and financial information.

Proficient with Microsoft and general office software.
